Priorities

We have a plan that will reduce costs, help more people start and run their own childcare centers — paying family wage jobs and helping close our unacceptable wage gap, and partner with businesses to help make childcare more affordable for all of us.

We believe in solutions that provide housing first, protect the dignity and property rights of all people, and, when possible, prevent people from entering homelessness to begin with.

As a renter who makes less than 50% of the median income in Seattle, I understand the challenges of finding affordable housing. Seattle needs more housing for low- and middle-income people and better protections for renters.

My plan to meet our city’s climate goals begins with supporting communities most impacted by climate change. I plan to ensure a just transition for workers through Green energy apprenticeship programs, free and expanded transit funded through congestion pricing, and new construction of green social housing.

We need to redirect our focus away from criminalizing poverty and address systemic injustices faced by low-income people and people of color.

We need revenue to fund expansions in housing, transportation, and social service. It is time for Seattle to tax big business, stand by workers, and provide more public goods.
